No name change. The Soma Rush and Pake Rum Runner are different frames. The Rush is made of Tange Prestige butted tubing and the PRR is made of plain gage chromo. The difference is between the old-style Rush with the plain thick dropouts and the new style with the much nicer Tange ones. The old style Rush looks a lot like the Rum Runner, which is why the new ones are more desirable and the old ones are heavily discounted. I lucked out and managed to pick up a new style Rush in my size for only $255, and right now there's a 59cm avaialble for only $241. The only other difference between the new and old style Rush is that the old ones had DT bottle bosses and the new ones do not.

While poking around on Somas website, I decided to check out their road bike selection. DO WANT THIS!! Such a good balance of classic style with modern technology. Some day when I've got a room full of money I'll have to ad another Soma to my stable.
Dem lugs.

One more pea almost ready for the pod. I got my shortened stem back from the LBS today, so I installed my bars. My friend gave me his old Weinmann ZAC18 wheelset, but it turns out the rear hub is shot, so I'm still in need of a rear wheel. I took my dad's front Mavic wheel for the photo since it had a tire on it already. Looking to add a brake to the front, but I have a rear caliper for the moment so I'm just looking for a longer screw.

^^^ Looking real nice, but please tip the nose of your saddle up a bit and lower the saddle if necessary. See post #126 for the proper way to adjust a saddle.

Much better. This way you won't be constantly sliding forward on the saddle. Most saddles are designed so that the nose is at about the same height as the rear where you actually sit.

Trip to hellyer today with my 2 year old rush. Excuse the mismatched bartape/saddle color, the white tape's on the ergonova's with hoods.

A friend of mine bought a fancy new camera and took some photos of my bikes and me, but the file size was huge so I had to reduce the resolution a bunch to upload them. This is a test to see how it looks. The relevance to this thread should be obvious. Note that I'm doing a sweet tarkstand while wearing bedroom slippers.

Took a picture of my Rush in its current state. Just a different front wheel now. It's from my old Kilo TT that I let my friend borrow for many months. I took it back because I had to give the CXP22 back to my dad
