Grass Track Racing...has anyone hosted such in the US?
This topic came up in another thread.
Being that CX is big in the US and proper velodromes are expensive, what about Grass Track Racing?
It seems that the speeds are slower and suit the non-fast twitch guys. Also, obviously less cost for a track. Maybe you could even lease a field?
Maybe in the winter as part of CX/MTB conditioning?
Europeans, isn't grass track sort of a feeder system into normal track racing? What's it like?
Thoughts?

More history. Liked from the Lawrence grass velodrome fb page. This looks nice!

oddly, given the generally accurate stereotypes of Kansas, Lawrence is a REALLY cool town (think, Austin about 5-10 years ago)
