Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, shipping might be deal breaker.

do you think there might be a Mexican equivalent of the website?

It's all coming back now. When one begins riding, daily, after a two month layoff, one comes back from said rides progressively stiffer, sorer, tireder, and hungrier. And today I got out too late and Did Not beat the heat. So it goes

No. Mexicans are all about not having spare parts around. They'd rather you buy a new machine. This is not an exaggeration. But still I think I can find what I need. I plan to open up the washer as soon as the current load finishes.

Chapeau!

I was at my highest weight for the year.

Lupron munchies + COVID-19 = 18# weight gain or that’s my excuse, at least.

Where was the Wawa? Enforcement seems random. Yesterday two stoned guys in front of me didn’t have masks and got served anyway.

People here are starting to ride in groups, but no one is telling me.

Im not to familiar with philly. They put us in a hotel near the airport. I had to walk past a little italian dive that claims to have created the stromboli if that helps at all.

Can't say you're not right about that. I probably won't ride a tight paceline until then or after, but I would go out with a couple of people in a loose gaggle at this point. For better or worse, the demographics of the pandemic at this time and place make it pretty safe.
