Bike ride with child seat

folks - can someone advise a good scenic 10-12 mile bike ride which isn't too hilly. I was thinking of the henry hudson drive/river road but hearing it's very hilly. Are there portions of it not too hilly but still scenic? Would highly appreciate any recommendations. We don't mind driving 30-40 mins out of the city too since we have a bike rack

Thanks

The portion of the Greenway north of fairway in the west 120s could be a possibility, and the lighthouse is good destination, though maybe even better when your kid can enjoy the book (so do it later on a trail a bike?)

South County or North County trail is nice and as a rail trail no real hills until way up in Putnam County. Middle of the SCT is bumpy so you might drive to Elmsford or the Eastview lot where the NCT begins and ride north on new/renewed surface (you may still hit a paving closure at Briarcliff Manor right before the route 100 section) Or start in Millwood north of that and ride up to the scenic bridge at Kitchawan and back. That one might be your best bet. If you want to go further beyond the bridge Yorktown heights is a sustained but very gentle climb and you can get ice cream...

If you go up to Poughkeepsie the Walkway Over The Hudson is fun but it's a long trip. The 12 miles of trail east to Hopewell are in great shape but not that scenic, come to think of it there are also short steep curvy approaches to crossing some roads that cut through the railbed without a bridge, so probably not what you want.

If you come out to Long Island, there's the Bethpage path and on the south shore there's the path to Jones Beach.
