Experience with Sun Big Mammoth Rims

I've got a line on a pair of 26" wheels which use the Sun Big mammoth Rim. From what I understand, there were two iterations of this rim; one type which used a polymer strip on the inside of the rim facing the hub, the other was alloy all the way through. I would sure like to hear from people who have ridden or ride these rims to know about their longevity & durability. They sure appear super robust. The braking surface is slightly concave which would produce an interesting pad wear pattern.
