What do you ride? Trails.. pavement ?
My problem lies in the fact that my gf is from Waukesha and no one else wants to ride with me, and I hate going alone. if I could find one or several people to ride with in my area, that'd definitely be a huge plus.

I've got a Trek 7.5 so probably do better on pavement. What about you?
I'm trying hard to get my son to ride with me. He's away for the summer so hoping in the fall he'll ride with me. My husband has very bad arthritis and was just diagnosed with a low grade Leukemia. Makes his immune system low but Dr says he's going to be fine. Anyway because of his arthritis we got him an electric bike. I think just the moving helps his joints.

Here's a googlemaps link showing what some of the stuff in our area is for trails, whether it be chip, limestone, paved.
https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...&z=11&lci=bike
Should show up.
Pavement usually or limestone trails (there's a lot around us actually)
Those 7.5 fx's are actually good on crush limestone surprisingly enough. What kind of electric bike did you guys get him?

Also .. side note, I think swimming could help his joints by moving in a low pressure situation.. should give it a shot

I am down around Bloomingdale. Usually ride with my club, Athletes By Design (ABD Cycling) on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and I run the Wednesday Night Training Crits out at Pella Windows (aka the Pelladrome) out in West Chicago.

Slow - I'm in Grayslake
I do mostly road riding right now, because my MTB is in need of some serious love.
I really want to replace it, but funds are tight. A tuneup would do wonders for it, so if I did that I could definitely ride some of the trails with ya

What is all wrong with it? I could likely help you out and save you a ton of money over going to a LBS with it. I've done most stuff related to bicycles, I could help you out with it since I'm local. Lemmie know.

Funny, there's not a lot wrong with it ... like I said a tune up would do it wonders ... It's 14 years old and has really never had a tune up ... and honestly, never needed it til last year.
But at 14 it could use some new rubber (which I could do easily).
Thinking maybe over the winter I'll do a complete overhaul of it ... taking it apart, installing new cables, new brake pads, etc ...
