Going to look at a bike tomorrow!

I found on my local craigslist what seems to be a nice schwinn world sport! I have really been wanting a nice vintage schwinn to get around on! I'm going to see it tomorrow and if all is well then ill be the new proud owner of this beauty. heres the ad https://lexington.craigslist.org/bik/2461705692.html the pics are not the best but it looks clean, and he said on the phone that it has always been indoors. very excited!

Good looking bike, but in the spirit of craigslist, I'd offer $100 and ride it home happily.

Also in the spirit of Craigslist, you snooze - you lose. I wouldn't have waited until tomorrow if this is everything you've been waiting for and the ad says, "first $125 takes", and I certainly would not have posted/broadcasted my plans of purchase on BF before I scored. Don't think this is one big happy family here. Good luck and I do hope you can post a pic tomorrow of your new bike.

Yeah, I've just seen so many "damn, it's sold!" posts after an initial post like this here, it makes you wonder? If nothing else though, good bikes at a fair price move fast on Craigslist in and of itself. You might wanna just email the owner again to emphasize that you are a serious buyer and to please hold it for you. You of course would be slightly giving away your hand to negotiate his asking price, but the main thing is to just give yourself the best chance at getting the bike you've been waiting for.

I have a feeling you'll be okay though. Check back tomorrow with your new steed.

I've really enjoyed my 87 World Sport, I got it about 6 months ago and did a thorough clean, polish, and lube, and replaced a few parts (brake levers, cables, tires). I use it for a ~6mi commute one way, 3-5 times a week. It's not super lightweight, the brakes are mehh, but it rides smooth and I've taken it on several longer rides (~30mi+) with no issues whatsoever. Enjoy the bike, with a little TLC these can be great rides, despite what all the haters say.
