On today's Sunday Bay Area ride, not much vehicle traffic, but there was an over-representation of what my dad would call "snotty cars":
Porsches, Ferraris, Audis, all out for their Sunday fun in the warm and dry weather. Lots of "vroom vroom".
Then there were the "look at me, I'm an idiot" vehicles, AKA Cybertrucks. Spotted 4 of them. Probably all Tesla engineers.

My friend said no news and he cannot even contact the detective assigned to the case until tomorrow.
I would have thought someone could help him today since he gave them the location of the bike, but I am not privy to details on how it works.

Rode outside for the first time since NYE today. Was all indoor in the week leading up to my procedure on the 9th.
Went mostly well! Gave it a couple tester efforts up hills into the VO2 max power band and my legs and HR responded just fine. No discomfort with my abdominal or groin rejoin as well from my hernia procedure. Sweet.
Got a flat in the middle and of course forgot my saddle bag.... too much indoor! Fortunately I knew more than a few local racers or coaches nearby, and ended up getting in touch with someone a few blocks away that helped me out. We repaired my flat and he stuffed my pockets with levers, tubes and CO2 to get me home. Nice guy.

Not sure what I'd do, other than maybe scope out the place where it is.

Some years ago a friend had a Colnago stolen. I think it was a C50 with nice parts, Record, etc.
A short time later the cops did a drug bust at a house and one of the officers saw the Colnago there and he figured that bike didn't belong at that house so he called local bike shops that sold Colnagos. My friend had put the word out and the store said they knew about a stolen bike and my friend got it back without a scratch.

Had a nice ride today. Met up with a couple of folks and got led around some familiar roads but in an unfamiliar way. Always nice to do a new route, especially since I’ve been in a pattern of doing the same 2 or 3 loops over and over.
I rode to the start location and ended up with 43 miles. Longest ride I’ve done in a while and the first one over an hour and a half on the bike with the new fork. Most definitely more comfortable with the bars 20mm higher.
Weather seems to be clearing up finally after what’s felt like a month of rain - hoping I can get back in to a riding pattern and really get the season started.
