1988 trek 560
About a year ago I bought this bike of craigslist for only 50 bucks. I've been riding it all summer, and i have to say this is a great bike.

Trek's 560 is indeed a great bike.
Kinda' racy though, and I had to watch out for my hoofies in low speed maneuvers.

I always liked that color, and if I ever come across one of about that age, I’d like to own it. I agree that the 560 series holds up today as a good value if you can find one. My ’83 was still using 501 Reynolds, so not quite as nice as yours. Still, here’s a shout-out for the 560.

^ Thanks for the picture, red bar tape it is. I ended up buying one too many 560's ( I found a purple one in better shape) and the one exactly like yours right down to the frame size is getting fixed up and sold. The 560's are incredible values, American bikes are bargains right now compared to Italian\French and even Japanese bikes.
How do you like the Blueline? If I was keeping it I was debating on replacing them with Cylcone, but the bike I replaced it with already had Cyclone.
OK, since your are about to ask for one here it is before cleaned up. Still not done yet because we have not had a rainy day here in months. It's 501 too, but that's fine with me because I am not a lightweight either.

Yep, I love my 1988 Trek 560 (same color as yours!). Billed as a racing bike, but with versatile 73 degree parallel geometry, it can be made very comfortable. Too bad it can't take wider tires.
