You can also double bag the shorts if it's not too bad.

Ohhh, that Sinyard...
If anything the chainring on the front is the more dangerous piece. The disc brake is the future. In the future we won’t look at road bikes that don’t have disc brakes. They will all have them.

I'm totally afraid of my chainrings now. I do have the one bike with a chainguard but I might have to retrofit all my other bikes.

Funny work story...at my practice, the phone room and/or front desk put "reason for visit" in the computer. These are nice folks, but not necessarily the best spellers in the world.
Earlier this week, I had a patient come in and the reason for visit was "Plantar facetious."
(for those who don't know, there is something called plantar fasciitis which is kinda like achilles tendonitis headed south).

Today after work I made a side trip to my LBS for a new chain, and to browse for a few odds and ends. I haven't been there in at least three months, possibly four. The owner remembered my first name immediately, which was nice. But then he said, "Wait, we don't have you in our new system yet, do we? We upgraded our computer system." And then, before I even hand over my bank card, he proceeds to spell out my full name. I've got an unusual last name, and I don't recall ever sharing it with him before. Nice guy, and helpful when I go in every now and then with questions, but that was a little weird. I tried extra hard to be successful with headset and BB installation tonight so I wouldn't have to bring it in to the shop tomorrow. There's a fine line between good customer service and creepiness, and I think that strayed just a little over the line.

@Bunyanderman
Teenager who used to post here when he first took up cycling, really good kid. He went off to college this year so we haven't heard much from him.
If I recall, he got a bike, rode for around six months and then started racing and did pretty well right from the get-go. It was nice to see that unfold.

I'm finally watching "Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories" and I just ordered way too much Chinese food cuz there is no ramen house here. Also, I would love to run a place that's only open from midnight to seven am.

Thanks. PET stands for "Positron Emission Tomography" and essentially a glucose-analogue (something called FDG) is injected and taken up as a metabolite by cells. Since cancer cells have unregulated growth, the tracer, which emits postrons as the glucose-analogue is metabolized, can be detected by the scanner. So the a PET scan can be very useful to suggest whether a nodule is cancer or not, and can also be helpful to determine if a patient's cancer is responding to treatment. Most of the time a PET scan is combined with a CT scan to see the anatomy better, so typically "PET" scans are really PET-CT scans.
That's a non-radiologist explanation and I suspect it's mostly true but cut a couple corners.

Oh yes. I saw it roughly four years ago. I love that delivery bike too. For some reason I'm thinking it came from India. Also season one of "The Mind of a Chef". I am going to eat so much when I get back to PNW. My mom keeps telling me about all the new restaurants she's going to take us to which have opened since we left.

A positron is an electron-like sub-atomic particle with the opposite charge, positive rather than negative. Hence, the name. I suppose the radioactive FDG emits positrons, basically positively charged beta rays.
