Lol. I find myself a sideline viewer of a KOM spat on Strava.
I got a notification that someone took a little hill that I sprint up (it's a good sprint effort and my KOM took over 1000w for 20sec) so I looked at the ride to see that it was legit. Well, the ride that dethroned me was a couple of guys teaming up and trying to take piddly west->east KOMs with the aid of the strong winds and each other today. Even funnier/more pathetic is that another guy now sits atop the throne after unflagging his ride from two years ago wherein he supposedly got the KOM, but he surely some phone GPS dodginess to thank. Anyway, now there's a snippy back-and-forth in the comments of these respective rides and it's just

I have an old pair of Ergo Carbon Sidis that fit me because I don't have wide feet, but they're smallish volume. Most shoes that fit in length and width, I end up with the laces tight all the way up, sometimes slightly buckling the toe box. I'm able to crank the Sidis down to fit snugly. So, I guess if they fit, they fit. After umpteen years, the uppers are separating ever so slightly around the heels. Maybe I just need to squeeze some epoxy in there....

Of course travel will have to wait because of the pandemic, but post-covid maybe I'll drive up to nearby Knoxville. We can reminisce about the good old days in Sharpsville and Coach Johnny Majors who was a coach for Pitt and Tennessee. We could meet at the Chipotle off of 75 not too far from The Squirrel. You could order the @datlas special.
Might have to push it back to 2021. Sounds like a plan.

Yeah, Lake are known for making wider sizes, right?

Wind advisory bringing in a cold front - gusts up to 45mph, and then tonight the low will be 53*. This may be a rest day.

No ride today. Off to see my retina specialist and that means dilation for sure. By the time it wears off, I’m usually out of the mood to ride.

BTW, I took your advice and ordered the H3.
Also- LBS is finally doing fits in their fit studio - getting the bike dialed in the last little bit before trainer season Wednesday morning.

I have anterior uveitis and get dilated fairly often by the aggressive eye docs at work. I always ride home afterward (after trying to work for a while) and it sucks.

And the same front paw action. Though we're on the intermittent fasting regime. 6AM and 4Pm.

I will not be riding today, though it is a scheduled ride day. At 08:30, it's already too late to beat the heat. Instead of riding, I will clean the kitchen and shop, and possibly the woodshop. All horizontal surfaces in all these rooms are chock full of stuff.
