Kinetic smart recovery ride

Got a Kinetic road machine smart. After doing the FTP test a lot of the workouts seem pretty spot on in terms of reaching target heart rate, however the Recovery workout seems like it puts me in too high of a a heart rate averaging around 70% which puts it more as a arebobic workout rather than recovery.

Would I be better off just doing a ride and maintaining around 55% heart rate?

Wondering in this case if it really is aiding recovery on a rest day? Here are a couple screen shots with both % power and heart rate.

how did you set your HR zones? Your avg HR during your FTP test is not your LTHR, that will be an underestimate

Didn’t set heart rate zones on the app. The power zones are automatically set based on the result of the FTP test. From what I understand the recovery zone is fixed at 55% or less for most people I did set my max heart rate in the system.

Do a 30 min all out test and take the avg of the last 20 mins to determine your hr zones

Awesome! Great tool. Will have to do the 30 minute test but for now, I had a FTP test from a couple of weeks ago and the average during the 20 minute effort was 175 BPM. So based on that my recovery workouts should be 81% or less of that for roughly 141. Based on that it looks like I am not overdoing it in terms of getting the desired outcome from a recovery ride on a rest day??

what's the avg over the last 15 or 10 mins? That's probably closer
