Whataburger ruined my diet

Had a patty melt with fries and it was good So on the first day that I pledged I would eat right the local Whataburger lured me in. I spent last week hiking the mountains at Big Bend NP so I got in my exercise so I can have some Whataburger if I want to. Well atleast that is how I justify sloppy eating

You started your diet on a Monday. That's you're probably right there. Start on a Tuesday ... it works better.

Haha yeah. Oh I miss Whataburger. Fortunately, I still have relatives to visit in Texas and they know if they want to see me (Edit - when I visit) I'll be a Whataburger haha.

The first three letters of diet are still die and I'll have none of that.

My niece's birthday cake ruined my two-week keto-and-calorie-restriction diet. I was doing so well, past the hard part, settling in to my new regime, then whabam, there it was, a giant frosted sheet cake from a bakery just staring at me with everybody else in the other room. Like a doggie stealing dinner off the counter, I made off with two slices, and that was the end of that diet.

But, it's about the long term. I eat pretty well most of the time.

I have a big ol' burger, fries and malt about once a week. Doesn't ruin my diet. I'm leaning toward the theory that fat isn't as harmful as claimed for decades. And I don't eat fast food too often, usually about once a week.

The main culprit remains sugar, so my chocolate malt at Braum's is worse for my efforts at paring down my belly fat.

McD's may be worse because their shakes are terrible so I get a Coke -- the only time I ever drink soda, which I normally dislike. But it's all they have at the hospital. Kinda sad, so few alternatives to sugary drinks at a health care facility, but that's how these fast food monopolies at hospitals and schools corrupt things.

Even with those occasional cheats on my otherwise health diet I'm still losing that belly fat, slowly. Takes a lot more willpower when I'm within 5 lbs of my optimal weight. Some days I wonder whether it's worth the sacrifice to give up tasty vices.
