Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would never pay via bank transfer for an online / remote purchase, you have very little if any protection without getting legal authorities involved and that's difficult overseas. Your only chance of recovering payment is going after bank / wire fraud charges and the amount involved isn't likely enough to get authorities involved. There's a reason scammers request that - and unfortunately it does point towards something being not quite right for the sale. If they are legit - they should be willing to accept a customary means of payment like credit card or paypal etc. Hope you find it's a legit frame though!

What size is your frame and is that weight with or without the fork? What I found online is a 53 is about 820 grams (sigma sports) which I assume is without the fork.

Your seller didn't want Paypal because Paypal will allow you as the buyer to file a complaint and get your money back. He wanted a bank transfer because those are not reversible. He is not answering questions because it is fake. Duh. Like we have all said since the start.

You have purchased a frame of one of the most faked brands out there from a non-authorized dealer for an amount much lower than legitimate pricing. You have bought a fake. Enjoy.

Slap some "Zapp" wheels on there build it up with some "Shizmanto" components and you'll have what we like to call the "Going to the dentist" special. A real one is what we call the "I'm a dentist" special.
OK this made me legit lol! It's completely and totally apparent to me as well. Brands are extremely protective of their pricing, they aren't gonna let these "overstock" frames go for way less than their hilarious original sticker price. Stop wondering about it, this is a total and utter scam.

We'll wait with bated breath as Pinarello confirms that one of their $6K frames bought in a large batch by a non-authorized dealer to sell at a huge discount is totally normal and legitimate.

I hate for folks to get scammed so I hope, against most indications, that Pinarello will somehow confirm that it's real. Either way, it's probably a functional bike that OP can use. Of course if it turns out to be fake the branding would need to be obscured, easy and attractive enough with vinyl wrap.

Pinarello actually dumps their previous year frames in about December / January of each year so you are not quite correct there... of course, my experience is with the Gan S, not the F10, they're a little tighter with their top line frames.

Having said that... worrying about it AFTER you send the money transfer is a complete waste of time.

Pinarello replied,it's a real frameset(confirmed over the phone),but not get warranty because not be bought from authorized dealer.
Maybe the warranty fee is euro 700-900.....
Because in my country there is no Wiggins size 54,........
So if I want to keep the frame, just be careful not to crash......
The seller cheat me on warranty?
If I want to get warranty during ride, sent it back to Netherlands and the reseller send it back to italia authorized dealer,is it ok in circumstances that pinarello told italia authorized dealer not get warranty because of I bought from unauthorized dealer in Netherlands?

5 years crash change program warranty is attracking..........

Maybe it is Reseller bought frame from Italia authorized dealer, pinarello offical told me Italian dealer name that the Netherlands reseller registered.

I hope it's legit, the weight posted above 1020g seems high for that frameset.

Yes, that's a HUGE jump in weight from a 53 to 54. Assuming same grade of carbon, going from say a 51 to a 63 would yield somewhere around 100g in additional weight, maybe slightly more or slightly less depending on carbon grades. A 200g increase from a 53 to 54 is gigantic.

It's good to know it is authentic. Now, stop worrying too much about warranty issues. Just build up the bike and ride. You got a great deal.

Sorry to say, but you got scammed. Sellers wanting to do bank transfer instead of Paypal is a telltale sign, because with Paypal you can get your money back. With bank transfer you cannot.

The frame is most likely fake, but you will most likely never be able to get your money back.
