Changing Chainrings of Fuji Cross

Hi,
I would like to change my 2018 Fuji Cross 1.7 chainring from Praxis 46/36T to 46/30T. I'm getting up on my age and make my hill climbs a little easier. I don't want to replace an entire crankset. I want to do it cheaper way....just replace a small ring from 36 to 30. Praxis does not have any 30T chainring replacement. Any suggestions?

A 30t ring is a different bcd(bolt circle diametet) than what Praxis uses.

Classic case of wanting your cake and eating it too.

You could get a 34t ring for your bike. And depending on the Praxis model, you might be able to get a 32t ring. 32t ring is pretty darn close to your goal.

The other option is to get the smallest ring that fits, be it 32t or 34t, and buy a larger range cassette. Get a cassette with a larger big cog. Of course that then gets I to if your rear derailleur can handle a larger cog...

...or just buy a crankset.

I can't visualize what this product does. Its a 110bcd 30t ring?
So how does that attach...does it attach outboard with the large ring even further out?

This is a 5 bolt 110 bcd sub compact chainring set that fits the 30T by using smaller bolts and oval shaped geometry

I checked with Praxis. They do make a 48/32T rind set, but it only works with a Praxis spider. Which means, I need to buy a whole new crank set and BB. So, as Mstateglfr suggested, I should just change to 11/40T cassette. It's probably much cheaper to buy a new cassette, chain, and Roadlink. Thanks for inputs.

If you're gonna go with a 11-40 cassette, maybe a 1x with a 40t chainring satisfy you and simplify things? 46/11 on the high end is only ~16% more gear than 40/11.

I have a 2009 Fuji Cross Comp that came with the same setup: 46/36 up front and 12-28 in back. I wanted more low end and felt the 10t spread up front was not wide enough to really get the full value of a 2x so i decided to go 1x10. I just purchased an am waiting for a 11-40 sunrace cassette, roadlink, chain, and 40T FSA megatooth chainring. All in was about $110.
