...what saddle did you end up with? I need something that's minimalist and light ( I race), but just a wee (no pun intended) bit wider at the forward transition towards the nose. I had an SSM Era K on my old bike, and really liked it, but the rails are too short to push that saddle back enough on my new bike. I have a pretty significant set-back seat post, and need a saddle with long rails, like the Toupe. I also like the cutout.

I use the Toupe 143, and like it somewhat. It's kind of uncomfortable at mile 70-80. Otherwise it's good.
I'm also taking a liking to the San Marco Concor, awesome saddle.

Fizik Aliante is the most comfortable saddle ever. I tried the Toupe in both widths and couldn't ride it comfortably more than 50 miles.

I tried the 143 Alias after getting abscess from a San Marco from long rides. It saved my… outlook. I like it for the under 60 mile rides. However the Aliante is like sitting on the sofa at home even after a couple long days.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but has anyone tried the new WTB V Ti series? They look curios.

i think every saddle is uncomfortable around mile 80, then it seems to go away.
i just got a toupe and so far so good, at least through mile 60. haven't had a century ride on it (yet)

I use the alias, and while the pressure on the sit-bones takes getting used to, i find it to be the most comfortable saddle (least amount of numbness) I've ridden. I'd like to try the thin toupe though. I've also used a WTB Shadow V Ti/Carbon, and a Ti/Carbon F. Arione.
