Dude, take a day or so off. Don't burn your bridges for no reason. I noticed a recent thread of yours got closed, but that's because you put an ad in the forum, instead of the proper classified section. Start over on a better day. 🙂

The last time I checked, the volunteer mods do their best to make sure B.F. guidelines are followed, and that everyone is treated the same regarding posts that stray from the guidelines..

A while ago I had a thread locked, because, it may have started to become a bit nasty. It was about pooping in the bush. I understood why they did it. They are not against you personally. It sometimes happens to everyone, because of Moderation Rules. Don't read too much into it. It has happened to the best of us.

You can request the mods suspend your account. Or just log off and go on your merry way.

Under your username you will find something labeled "User control panel". Under that you should find "Edit Options". From there you should be able to turn off all of the communications you receive.

If you do that you can just ignore the board and come back later, or not. If not some of us will actually miss your posts.

Don't bother unsubscribing just don't post. You might change your mind down the road.

You could always go to CrazyGuyOnABike (CGOAB) where they have a forum and a classified ad section where donations are accepted but not required.

I got my peepee whacked once for mentioning a bike for sale. I didn't read all the fine print. I learned something and got over it.

nothing against doing favors. if you had offered to give your stuff away (maybe if they paid shipping) you'd have been fine. we've had some of those threads before. it's when someone posts for sale ads when the forum has a specific "for sale" sub-forum, and is one of the ways the webmasters pay their bills. nobody reads the TOS of course, so misteaks happen. no big deal.

same with the folks who pretend to be sharing their experiences, when all they're really doing is spamming links to their sites so they themselves can make money. they get deleted and eventually banned if they continue.

you could expect a sales ad or a spam link to be deleted. but why start a new thread to complain? most forums have rules about commenting on the moderators moderation, so sure, we'd expect that thread to be locked and deleted as well. nothing personal.

Pay a few dollars and you can post your stuff for sale. It's literally just a few dollars.
...or throw a fit and make a spectacle of leaving.

He doesn't have to pay anything, just list it somewhere else that doesn't require a payment in a foreign currency , or any currency for that matter, with the extra charges added. He's unlikely to find a buyer on BF anyway as about 99% of people here would incur large shipping costs without an opportunity to test ride the bike. I'm probably the only likely purchaser here and I saw his post and responded before it was taken down.

Hey there Ant, don't fret about this, it's just an internet forum and I'm understand the general rule of keeping perhaps dubious sellers out of here.
Good luck with selling stuff, but as always, be wary of folks that you can't meet and sales where you have to ship. I've never sold stuff like this, sight unseen, so would be wary. Have only sold and bought stuff on local used stuff selling lists, talking to and seeing things in person.

Cheers
And on a more cheery note (not) have fun with Brexit! My family in the UK are not thrilled with the whole mess and uncertainty.
