Having decided to keep the 80 Trek 414 over the 88 Ironman Expert, everything was in place. Today I stripped the IM and one other down to frame, fork, headset, bb, and hung them out of the way. One more will go out the door in the coming week. Leaving me three riders and a coupled travel bike. And one of those three riders will hopefully find a new home on my next trip north.
The framesets will find homes as homes become available.

Good choice. I was never impressed with my Ironman. My affinity for vintage Treks is no big secret though...………….

414's are a low key favorite bike of mine. So lovely in their darker metallic colors (blue/grey). Great riders, too. And available in super huge sizes.
