What Do You do when you pass another biker on the road?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pull your pants up.

Sometimes say hi. Mostly I keep on my merry old way.
For not hims I will hang back and enjoy the view if it is a decent one.

Usually "Good morning" or something like that... Have a short chat if they're so inclined.

I'm an extrovert, so I generally acknowledge the other cyclist in a manner consistent with the context. If we're crossing paths at high speed in the opposite directions I wave and go on. If we're stopped at the light I carry on a few seconds of smalltalk.

There isn't any real requirement of exercising cyclist solidarity, any more than motorists need to be smiling and waving at one another. But that sort of greeting is easier on a bicycle, so I do it.

in the city of chicago mwhen i pass a rider with spandex and a high end bike ---I yell go to the beach, the street is for real riders, I put my hands out as if i have wings an I start to bark, I then proceed to scream " bring it , bring it" by then the rider has gotten and scared and prob, decided he should stay in the burbs for his next ride.

Do not bring your spandex wearing slow riding bike into the city,,,,,,,,,,

When a car gives you crap ===I yell "I pay more in taxes then you, or ill say "ill buy your whole familly and get you out of debt, or ill just call them peasants,

Pass on the left, and shouting a quick and friendly "On your left" just before you pass is the courteous thing to do. After I pass, I'll usually say "Hi".

A friendly little wave is fine, but not obligatory. And if the other person doesn't wave back, don't feel bad.

"Hey" if I'm passing someone slowly,
Nothing if I'm passing fast,
Nod head if passing an oncoming rider looking my way.

Passing female roadie with nice rear: Do not pass.
