Used Vision Full Suspension - Buy or Stay Away?
I just found this on CL: https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/...073657438.html
I know nothing about recumbents but the super low price raised my interest enough to maybe try this out.
A bit of googling around indicates this might be a very early Vision R40? Perhaps with too short of wheelbase? And noodly suspension design?
Also that seat arrangement looks quite bizarre. I can't tell if he has modified the bike. Or just simply can't find replacement parts anymore so he has just slapped something on there and is now just trying to unload the bike.
Is this a bargain worth pursuing? Or a big headache to steer clear of?

It's so hard to tell from just that picture.
For that price, though, it's hard to go wrong. You could probably fix up the drive train for a few bucks and a couple hours and sell it for 4 times that price.

Unless you bought it from the seller, it is too late to worry about it. The for-sale posting has been deleted.
You can read about the various Vision recumbents here: https://bicycleman.com/brands-we-don...on-recumbents/ This store still sells some parts for the brand.

Yep it disappeared fast. $75 was the ask for it. I don't have to worry about it now. Somebody else's problem (or treasure).
Thanks

I bought two of my Vision R40s from local Craigslist ads,
they are solid bikes, not can go wrong with them unless abused or left outdoors for extended amount of time.
Both of my purchases were owners that rarely ridden their bikes, just wanted the bikes out of their garage.
