Snice the Kona Sutra has nice fenders, nothing gets dirty. I've never even considered cleaning the tires, but I am sure now I will not be able to un-consider...LOL!!

the underside of those debris flap catchers might be hoarding mess too. Might consider applying wax to the undersides

The crime rate is going up everywhere in the US, folks. I live in a Midwest city, and the crime rate since the pandemic has doubled the crime rate prior.
Where I am, the people are calling to vote out the mayor, the prosecutor, and the police chief in the next opportunity/election. America is doomed.

From today's ride. See the squished sewer rat at the bottom? They were not so prevalent before the pandemic. Now, they're literally all over the streets. It just rained yesterday so this is as clean as it gets.

Good read on the history of rats in NYC:
We have them here in Philly too. Two summers ago, I was eating lunch in a popular park that is a tourist draw. I saw a red tail hawk land on a lamp post. He leaned forward then swooped into some tall grass. Hawks generally don't land on the ground unless they are hunting, so I ran towards it. This bird flew up with a rat the size of a medium rabbit in its talons. The rat was so heavy the bird had a hard time gaining altitude and had to take a break on a shorter lamp post before finally flying away.

Troul ... I'm from Chicago originally. I'll never say that deep dish anything can be called pizza. <grin> Now for hot dogs and real malted shakes, Chicago might have an edge.

to me, i've never thought "thin" & "pie" are the same meaning. Hence deep dish making more sense wrt "pie"

In my 30s and 40s and childless, I had the cleanest, shiniest car around. Every other weekend it was detailed and waxed 4X/year. Now that I have been retired, the cars are lucky to be washed and vacuumed every three months and hopefully waxed once. Other priorities have pushed the cars out and now my OCD has moved to keeping manicured gardens, riding 4 to 5 K a year and beating my and other’s PRs. Then there is hiking and skiing. Most importantly there is my grandson, though marriage, who receives a good chunk. Priorities change.

I used to keep tires clean, but I used to ride in farm country. Pesticides, herbicides, manure....
If I rode in the city on human urine , human poop, dumped soda, dumped trash, dumped beer... I'd definitely be cleaning my tires and bikes more often.
Fenders are a must for city riding! Humans are.... there really isn't a nice word for city dwellers.

I always prefer a thin crust to a deep dish.
Deep dish is too much like cheese soup.

Certainly everything pre-Some-Girls was the golden era, but I like at least some stuff on their later albums. I admit I play them less, but even Bigger Bang had some stuff I liked. Emotional Rescue is probably my least played.
