WE WILL SEE. I'm getting PRs on the Defy, at least on routes I haven't ridden 200 times, so it's not as 'ARRRRGGGH' yet. Though as the mechanic pointed out, they are an adult toy store (in a very different sense) and between me and my toy..

PRs are meant to be smashed on new bike day/week/month. Hope you're not traveling this week or it's going be the longest week of your Life plus the 2hours for the shop mech to build her up

Well.

Shipped. (In theory)

From Italy.

So who knows how long /THAT/ will take.

Plus I'm still not in PR smashing shape except by the cheater method of only riding the roads I've barely done. My FTP has got to be abysmal still. Bloody hip.

As @expatbrit noted in the mileage thread ... I managed to hit my monthly goal, despite the finger issue.

Finger is much better ... I babied it Friday and Saturday, and a friend kind of guilted me into riding yesterday (not to mention, I'd been eating like a pig and felt the need to atone) ... so I rode yesterday, and then today I did the roller coaster.

And the best part about that ... is they REPAVED it! When I first found the road, it was a crumbly, pothole strewn disaster, but the challenge of the rolling hills made it a route I wanted to do when I needed it. So on Friday, having heard that it had been repaired (though I wasn't sure if it was a repave or just a repair), I went out in the car to find out for myself. And sure enough, completely repaved. SO awesome. and I PRd the final climb of the road.

Going to spend some time out there when I can before fall and winter arrives.
