Tuesday: 47 miles
Wednesday: 47 miles
Today: 47 miles

Why? No idea.

I haven't ridden less than 180 miles in a week since the week of July 23-29, 2018. After that week, I did 200+ per week until December. At a certain point, I guess it's become a problem.

During that ride on Tuesday, I washed out the front end when I dropped the tire in a rut. Landed mostly on my right shoulder, and it hurts more today than it did 2 days ago. But I got miles to do.

Uh oh. Hope nothing serious with your shoulder. They are tricky. When I wiped out body surfing in 2017, even after everything else healed the shoulder became a bigger problem. Took about a year to not bother me anymore.

Well, it was in the dirt, and I still have a full, albeit sore, range of motion. Last time I ended up on the ground it was straight onto the hip, which I must say is preferable-- I don't lift the gallon of milk out of the fridge with my hip.

I have also found that I've got a whole lot of little scrapes and cuts I didn't notice before. According to Strava it was 7.8mph directly to zero, so it could have been a whole lot worse. I was honestly looking too far ahead.

More bummed that both levers got scratched up than anything else, really.

I can't go 32mm on my bike, only up to 25mm wide. So I run the Maxxis Padrone 700x25 tubless.

Nice wheels.

I have the bike in the trainer, purchased a new heart rate monitor, new lids for my two favorite water bottles (old ones started to leak at the stopper), and I think I am ready to start getting my backside in the saddle.

Weather here has been low 40s with little to no wind which is unusual for this time of year when it should be in the high teens with ice everywhere.

also. Holy cow. How wide are the 30mm on those rims? I have 25mm Vitoria Corsa G+ on mine and they are, AFAIK, almost 30mm. Bet you’re glad if the RDO’s tyre clearance!

(though they are hanging from the ceiling right now as I wear out the stock Rubinos to convert to tubeless on the Fulcrums as bad weather wheels...)

3.1 miles today on Zwift. slow but good start. I probably could have done more, but didn't want to push to hard as I want to ride tomorrow.

Only a month away from having the funds for a new trainer. Currently I am on a first generation BKool Pro, but I plan to buy a TacX Genious.

The rims measure 28.5 external. The 30s inflated measure 31.5. Yeah plenty of clearance. I have 38mm G-One All Arounds on the stock (Stan’s) wheels.

Word of advice. If you see a road named Dreaded Hill Road, think twice about riding it! That vertical line around mile 7 is where I walked, pushing my bike up about 600’ in 1/2 mile or so. Garmin autopaused during that bit.

man. If auto-corrected from of bet you are glad OF the RDO’s clearance.

*sigh*

The November rims are way wide; seems a good thing to me. Matches well with a 25mm tyre that’s reallg a 28mm, though I don’t QUITE have the same clearance as you do. They do ride nicely! How was the tubeless setup?

Tubeless was pretty easy. Toughest part was getting the tire on the rim. Has to resort to a tire lever for the last bit. I suppose some rims might have a deeper center channel than the Novembers, that would help. Once on the rim, I just pumped ‘em up with my floor pump just like a tube tire. They held air immediately.

Maybe with 25. I can’t run Gp4k 28c on the this pinarello with the stock fulcrums. I get rocks stuck between the rear brake caliper and frame brake arch. If the stone is too big it rubs the tire and will lock it up. I have to hit the quick release to drop the wheel and free the stone. Hasn’t been a problem in the summer. But all he storms make the road looks like crap.

4 miles on Zwift tonight... further than last ride, and I am getting my butt ready for longer rides, and breaking in a new saddle. https://www.strava.com/activities/2112374920
