Like a mini hydraulics kit, but without the need for all the batteries/pumps/electronics. It just goes a lot slower.

That link is for a Land Cruiser (which I guess you have). Would that kind of thing exist for a minivan? (nissan quest)
seems so

it's a helper for the spring rate that rate to X amount of pounds. You will need to try different PSI to work for your typical load and just family load.

aero tubes or fat tube......I used to like fat tubes but I love how much better aero tubes are in the headwinds and holding speed

those campy brifters are MASSIVE like the Srams. they put the hydro brake master piston in the brifters.

Back from vacation! 16 days in Asia. Not one pedal touched in about a month now, ugh.

And I'm so glad to be back in 90 degree dry heat... it was 90+ and 90% humidity for the last two weeks and I'm just not used to that. Walked about 10 - 12 miles a day in that mess. Ate food, drank beer... back to reality now.

i so love in n out.

‘Bad’ Doc visit here. No change, and looking like a fairly messy surgery on my throat in 3-4 months to stabilize my voice. Tomorrow I will see how much having half my windpipe permanently closed impacts me again on the bike. It was rough before.

As a SoCal native, I don't get the In N Out obsession. The burgers are fine, though not remarkable. Fries average to below average IME. And the places are packed, I just don't care for long lines and crowds just for a burger.

i know, I know, I'm a heretic. Flame away!

You're not wrong. The fries are terrible. They make a big deal about cutting and frying them fresh, but good fries need to be double-fried. That's why McDonald's fries are so beloved; they do a first fry in the factory and then freeze and ship them; the freezing and 2nd fry are what make them great

The burgers are good, but no better than five guys or smashburger.

I'm right there with you, @jimincalif. I've never understood the obsession. BUT, I am from the Inland Empire, which is where you would find Baker's Drive-Thru. Imagine In-n-Out, only everything is good. Oh, and they also sell Mexican food. I mean c'mon-- the Twin Meal is a burger, a taco, fries and a drink. What's better than that?

Sounds awesome!

If you ever find yourself in Santa Fe NM, do yourself a favor and go to Shake Foundation and get yourself a green chile cheeseburger from the place that (claims to have) invented it. And then treat yourself to one of their awesome shakes.

@expatbrit - report required!

Meanwhile, we had this burger last week in Kyoto, Japan and it was DAMN good... wagyu beef on a bun made with some bamboo charcoal. can't explain that part but it was certainly delicious. They melted the cheese in a little pan and then slide it on to the burger (which took place right after I took this pic) The restaurant is called "CROSS burger and beer" if you're ever in the area.

The one thing that would make it better is for them to open a couple of locations in the OC!

so many good green Chile cheeseburgers. Also so much good food in Fanta Se!

I kerp thinking I’ll bicycle up there and take the train back. Then I realize I have a motorcycle and I end up on that. I’m a bad cyclist.

I did, however, try and get out and up the Crest tonight. Yesterday’s bulk injections into my vocal cord meant it felt like I was suffocating as my heart rate came up, so I gave up. Also a bad cyclist! Oh well

A slightly belated Happy Birthday to my 2017 Cervelo R3, who turned 1 year old on Monday. We celebrated by re-riding the route I had done on her first time out,
a 100km round-trip to a restaurant in Upland, where I had a fine fried egg sammitch. It didn't even get crazy hot. It was a very nice day, all in all.The numbers from the first year:
Activities: 137
Miles: 5,629.5
Ascent: 224,601ft
Total Time: 318h55m

Avg. distance: 41.3 miles
Avg. ascent: 1,635ft
Avg. time: 2h20m
Avg speed: 17.7mph

I was laughing at one of the racer-type guys at the LBS. The same week I was getting the Cervelo, he was building up a Cannondale with e-Tap and all the bells and whistles. Around the turn of the year, I asked how the bike was doing-- he said he hadn't ridden it yet. At that point, the Cervelo had about 2,000 miles on it. I asked him again a few weeks back. It's got 3-4 rides on it in all of 2018. My CX bike has 2,800 on it for 2018, and the R3 has 3,200.

Of course I'm guessing but for the price of that burger I could eat daily at Inn n Out for a year

I mean, it was expensive but normal Japan expensive, not OMFG I have to give up food expensive... 4 of those burgers, 2 beers and a couple cokes (which are about the same as beer in that damn country) were $70 all in.

Yeah, and that was FOUR burgers + drinks.

I can eat at In N Out forever - my wife "won" a stack of gift cards at some in n out charity golf tournament - 100 gift cards each worth any burger on the menu.

Maybe I should bring some on Saturday, I still have a stack in my car.

De-railing the burger conversation (though I do love a good green chile cheese burger. The one in the ABQ airport actually isn't bad!!)

My (new) shoes broke; I've had them on the shelf for a while, so...

The knob on the boa-like closure unscrewed. Anyone know a Northwave dealer in the US? The LBS is chasing too, because, well -- they did some dumb to the shoes too, but they're working on making that right.

BOA will replace the ratchets free of charge, basically no questions asked. I replaced the upper dials on my Diadoras earlier this year. IKEA-like instructions, took about 10 minutes per shoe.
