At Cal Park? I'll be damned! My ol' hood.
Also right about halfway into my 30 mile commute from work.
The course has good surface, wide streets, easy turns. I think I'ma gonna do it.

Well, the Men's 4/5 field is filled-up, but for you women and juniors out there, it's a great deal. Women get to race for free in a way because of the generosity of TATI who is giving a $35 gift certificate to all women who enter for the week.

Oh man... this is going to be fun tonight. Rain, 48F and 19mph winds. I'm still going!

Holy headwind/crosswind batman. Pinned on my number and didn't have time for a proper warmup. So into the race with ice cold legs I go. Big mistake.
After Lap 1 I was in the middle of the field, just barely holding the gap and trying to close it. Turn 1 into lap 2 and half the field with me included in front gets shelled because of a headwind that almost makes me go backwards.
I pretty much avg. about 240W which is my FTP for the 30 min. race, which they had to cut short from 45 min. because the city wouldn't turn on the street lights.
Tomorrow I'm going back and I'm planning on a proper warm up as well.
Hell, I'm going back everyday until Friday when the series is over. I love getting beat up.

The wind was strong again today. But this time I had nice and proper warmup for about 25 min.
So I felt good at the start line with nice and warm legs. Race started fast like always.
So I hang with the group for about 1 1/4 lap and *poof* goes the tire. Flattened on the backstretch. Fuuuuuuuuuu#$#%^$^$#$#@#@!!!!!!
Well, I had my spare tube in the car, so I decided to call it a day for today since it was somewhat raining as well and I just packed up with my head hanging and frustrated.
Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and a new race.
Yeah, here is all the glory 3 min. of my race.
Entire workout (307 watts):
Duration: 3:04
Work: 56 kJ
TSS: 10 (intensity factor 1.401)
Norm Power: n/a
VI: n/a
Pw:HR: 24%
Pa:HR: 14.75%
Distance: 1.198 mi
Min Max Avg
Power: 0 1111 307 watts
Heart Rate: 102 169 159 bpm
Cadence: 45 141 95 rpm
Speed: 4.8 30.4 23.7 mph

I'm sure you were laughing at the mediocre numbers
Man, it took me a while to get that piece of glass out of my tire last night. It was stuck in my brand new GP4000 tire and now I have a nice little hole in the tire.

F'n A. Dropped again after 26 min. of racing. But compared to Monday only got lapped once instead of twice. It was kinda cold too, 46F but the wind was not as hard as Monday or Yesterday, so that was nice.
I averaged 258W until I got dropped and 220W after I was dropped.
So the entire race of a little over 45 minutes I averaged 239W, right at my FTP.
I'm just too damn slow

Schweet....I've got almost 20lb on you. I only say that because we have similar power numbers - at least compared to the last time I checked - haven't used the PT in a couple of weeks. Wreck with the goose split the cables on the mount and I've been too busy to fix it or replace with one of the other mounts I have.
Almost made it out there tonight. A teammate was offering to pay my entry just to head out there with him, but he figured that with the good weather there wouldn't be any open spots. We rode a killer team ride instead.
We'll see you Saturday. One of the only races I have paid for so they may be my last for the season. I feel good and want to make people hurt.

Last race of the series. Got dropped again 16 min. into the race. Stiff headwind on the backstretch. Suck. Wind is not my friend as I just don't have the power to catch a lost wheel again.
