Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, but if you run a search with "under your shorts" in it, won't you end up on some kind of list?

No need to search. I'm right here.

kingsfan,

You don't need to wear anything under your bike shorts. You don't want to wear anything under your bike shorts. You should not wear anything under your bike shorts. You are asking for trouble if you wear anything under your bike shorts.

Padded lycra bicycle shorts are made to be worn next to the skin. Nothing should come between you and your chamois with the possible exception of a thin glaze of Chamois Creme.

Good bike shorts are designed so that they will not ride up, bunch, bind or chafe. They have strategically placed seams. Putting a pair of BVDs under your shorts defeats their purpose. It invites chafing and can lead to painful infected saddle sores.

Besides, panty lines look geeky.

So, don't forget: No underwear under bike shorts for any reason ever. No excuses.

Underwear Nazi
Because your ass matters

And since the subject of bike shorts has come up again...

For the sake of humanity, please use bib shorts and not the regular bike shorts. It might not make you feel better, but it will make everyone else be able to hold down their pre-ride meal.

I have seen way too many 200+Lbs gorillas on their Cervelos with their ass cheeks hanging out for my lifetime.

Go commando! Make sure you have a good pair of shorts, if you have thin ones not only will the wind blow through but your butt cheeks will be visible.

Here is a 225 pound "gorilla" on my cervelo... no butt cheeks hanging out though

(Now if I was wearing my team shorts (not bibs) then they may just show ever so little... because I am so tall

58 VW. A question. The pro team your bike kits represents has some great riders...But, my question. "Health Net."
Hope you do not have to use "Health Net" should you get hurt. HMO law does not allow for lawsuits usually. But, their practices lead to some pretty heafty law suits as a result of their gatekeeper practices.
Who needs treatment for cancer? Wonder they are still in business. Why Healthnet. ? Ever wonder about the quality of your sponsors. Think the Healthnet riders are covered by Healthnet. ?
I would not want that logo over my arse.Cool looking kit tho.
