WTB: heavy duty 27 front wheel
Update: Wheel found!
We lost the front wheel of our tandem in a ridiculous mishap (long story, oy) and now I’m looking for a replacement.
Does anyone have a decent quality 27” wheel lying around? Nothing too fancy necessary. 40 or 48 spoke preferred, but 36 and double wall will probably suffice too.
I’m located in Chicago and could pick it up if you’re nearby, or can pay shipping. Thanks!

Hey samkl
I have a front wheel from a late 70s Schwinn continental you can have.
27 inch steel wheel.
Not sure of spoke count or if is is double walled
I am located in MA.
I have shipped wheels in the past and it is pretty expensive.
If you want to arrange the shipping, I would be happy to give you the wheel

You need a nice Weinmann concave rim. They do show up now and them.

I have a wheel with a Miche Competition hub, 36 DT spokes, and a black Ukai rim. I built it myself, and it's been running well for over 30 years. I'll even overhaul the hub if you want. I'll get a picture. Interested?

Very kind offer, thanks - but drpaddle just sent me a nice old 40-spoke 27" wheel. Wheel no longer needed!
