Clásica San Sebastián (spoiler)

Any Predictions for the Clásica San Sebastián ?

Gesink just confirmed he's not going to start

But:
2 FREIRE Oscar
21 & 22 Bobsy Twins - Either one
41 CUNEGO Damiano
51 GILBERT Philippe
82 FLECHA Juan Antonio
98 GUSEV Vladimir
107 TIRALONGO Paolo
111 HUSHOVD Thor
112 MILLAR David
113 DEAN Julian
121 BASSO Ivan
141 SANCHEZ Samuel
172 DEVOLDER Stijn
all could show given the right conditions on the right day

I'll stick my neck out and take Samuel Sanchez to win

Is it really sticking your neck out to take Sammy Sanchez? Bad day on the Galibier, but otherwise very strong, I like him for this one, too.

What's the best way to watch this from the USA? Just find a random stream or is there an online broadcaster carrying it?

if cunego is racing, he's gotta be up there as a favorite. like to see the entire starting list before making the wrong prediction as usual...

and i absolutely love the aggression thor shows as world champ. he does the stripes proud. is it too much of a fantasy to think
he can get over the jaizkebel in a good position to challenge for the win after his showing in the tdf? lotta names jump out here:
thor, millar, cunego, sammy sanchez, ll sanchez, barredo, garate, flecha, pineau, hesjedal, rodriguez, porte, zandio...

Another guy I really like is deGendt. He finished 6th on Alpe d'Huez and followed that up by finishing 4th in the ITT. Obviously going very well right now, he's got to be among the favorites.

SPOILER:

A fine victory for 2011 TdF winner Philippe Gilbert. The man can do no wrong on the road.

It seems that these days picking anyone else than Gilbert to win a hilly classic is sticking your neck out

Maybe if there had been more guys like Samu and Barredo- willing to make it a hard race- it would've at least put Gilbert in some kind of trouble. But many others only reacted when Gilbert himself was on the move- which was pretty stupid since they wouldn't have beaten him in the sprint anyway. Then again, the outcome might have been the same, especially since Gilbert had Vanendert all the time.
Kudos for Gilbert and those who didn't give in before the race even started, especially Barredo.

I really hope so, but don't think so. It's a fast course, something for the sprinters. My money is on cavendish. Vanendert could have won today, first class teammate who sacrifised himself for gilbert today.
