Delgado masterpiece custom frame painting
Photo from June 1994 Bicycling Magazine. Thought a few may also appreciate the cover pix Rich Delgado specialized in custom bike frame paint jobs
Not sure if he is still painting but this frame was really impressive!
The head tube is Michelangelo.
The top tube is Matisse.
That's Picasso around the seat lug.
This rollingart museum was created when Rich Delgado, Jr, an artist
and sport racer from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, turned to the old
masters for inspiration when his bike needed a new coat.
Other artists representted include Velazuez, Degas and
Vermeer (fork), de Vlaminck (seat tube), Van Gogh (down tube),
and Miro (stays).
Despite its appearance, this bike is no delicate museum piece.
Delgado races on the frame.
He says the acrylic and urethane finish is durable and,
as you'd guess, attention grabbing.
Because so many other racers have asked about copycat jobs,
Delgado says he's ready to become a brush for hire.
Prices will be $300-500 (1994)

I could not find Rich Delgado thru searches.
I do know that one of the best custom frame painters is Joe Bell "JB" company out of San Diego ref: https://joebell.net/
Bell and Holland bikes are colocated and JB produces some amazing custom like the model for 7' Bill Walton ref: https://joebell.net/Two-Big-Bikes-for-BW.html
Please add some more custom paint job bike and bike frame painters. I love this kind of art work especially when its moving on the roads.
