1980 Bianchi Super Corsa Original w/ proprietary components 58cm c to t EXCELLENT

For sale is my 1980 Bianchi Super Corsa. The bicycle is in original unrestored condition. The frame measures 58cm c to t. The bicycle was obtained from the original owner, a US military officer stationed in Italy during the 1980’s. The bicycle was well cared for and shows limited signs of use. There were several miscellaneous chips and scratches in the typical areas of contact which were professionally touched up. The bicycle has not been ridden since. The bicycle has beef boxed and stored in a climate-controlled environment for the last 15 years.

The Super Corsa is as originally specified and built up by Bianchi. Components include complete Campagnolo Super Record Gruppo with titanium bottom bracket and pedals. Original pantographed components including stem, seatpost, brake calipers, crankarms, chainring and shift levers. Also specified is the Campagnolo Portacatena chain carrier and proprietary shift levers with “release switch”. The rims are the correct specified Mavic OR-7’s which weigh 260 grams each. The Super Corsa was only available as specified and built up by Bianchi. The SC branded frameset was not available separately.

Additional photos can be found on Flickr https://flic.kr/s/aHsmK2j2zL

Please note the bicycle has been stored and assembled for presentation and photography. It is the responsibility of the new owner to ensure that the bicycle is tuned and checked by a professional mechanic prior to being ridden.

Correct and in excellent original condition. Ready to ride or show.

Asking $2,750.00

The bicycle will be packed and shipped by a pro bicycle shop via BikeFlights / UPS Ground.

Shipping $175.00 within CONUS. International at cost.

Please reach out with any questions.

That's like a time capsule, amazing condition.

Love the world champ stripes panto on the brake levers, never seen them before.

So I'm confused. These pictures show two different bikes. The last picture appears to be of a 1980 Super Corsa with the Piaggio/Vespa head badge and the chrome head lugs. The other pictures show a different bike with the Bianchi head badge, no chrome on the head lugs. The other bike appears to be a bit later, maybe 1982? What is the story here?

Apologies. The 1980 which is for sale has the Eagle graphic on the head tube. The Piaggio image is of my 1979. I have two SC's and a few of the photos were inadvertently intermixed. Again the 1979 has Piaggio which is not for sale. The 1980 has the eagle. I will review the photos in the 1980 album and delete any that don't apply. I looked briefly and thought I caught any discrepancies.

I just checked the 1980 Bianchi SC album and did not see any reference to the 1979 Piaggio.
Album link is: https://www.flickr.com/photos/186041...57712207625098

The last photo in the BF posting is incorrect and shows the 1979 brake lever with Paggio head tube decal in background. Just disregard. Again sorry for any confusion. Please look at Flickr album as well. Thx,

Thanks for the clarification. Yes the Flickr album seems to have all correct photos.

I always enjoy your posts of my Grail bikes especially as they are invariably 4 cms too big for me. Phew!
