Sun & Snowmobiles !
Rushed home after work and jumped on the 29 plus for a tad over 2 hours of fun on the trails. The weather was a Florida 19 degrees compared to the temps over the last 2 weeks. With the sun shining bright it just made for a very fun ride. having ridden this area for the last 3 years, it's so different when it's covered in snow. It's like I'm in a different world, and just seems more peaceful.

As long as I stay on the groomed trails I stay afloat for 90% of the ride. I'll hit a few light spots every now and then, and if I'm quick enough with my trigger hand I can spin threw them. I'm going out Saturday for my first ride since our dumping of snow, and will drop the tire pressure to about 12 psi.

Wow 12psi? Do you run tubeless? This seems really low. I venture down to about 26psi on my 2.2" tires with tubes if going through deep snow / compacted stuff on roads. What tires do you roll on?
I pinch flatted the other day not being very careful and just running out of the house to ride. Did the quick smoosh with thumb test and thought it felt right. I forgot that my house was 73F and outside was -3F so the pressure was too low once outside and spinning for awhile.
Of course I have the kit to go tubeless I've just been lazy. Even tubeless though my buddy doesn't drop to far down, only to maybe 25psi.

I was in such a hurry Saturday to get out I didn't drop my psi. The suggestion to drop to 12psi was from another rider who has the same set-up and does this on newer snow. The only thing I did was lock out my suspension which did make it easier to get restarted when I got bogged down in to much new snow. I'm running the tires that came with the bike 29x3 Bontrager Chupacabra. The bike shop did suggest a more aggressive tire but I'll keep with this set-up for now. I'm sticking to groomed trails for this winter and will look at a different set-up to venture off next year.
I'm so jealous of your groomed trails, none of that here, but I love the workout when breaking trail. Have you tried breaking much trail yet with the 29+?

Yeah I don't have any experience with plus size stuff obviously, do you run tubes or did that come tubless stock? I run continental xkings which I love but they don't seem to get much hype.
