Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Posted about it back when I got it. I use it the majority of my time on this bike, and could not be happier with it ...

I still have my old fork clamp set-up that works fine and if you or anybody else here wants it - its yours...

Added a little extra to one of my fixies. Bought a Bendix 2 speed kickback hub. Im slowly buying these hubs for all my hard riders. My bike group puts down 30 miles or so at a time on the old vintage bikes. Nothing beats this yellow line. With bikes weighing from 50-70+ lbs, this low gear helps as a last resort to keep you from falling sideways up steep hills from the lack of motion.

That's a nice blue, and very glossy. Stock, or did you do it? Paint or powder?

Tire label alignment failure alert.

Chain is one link too long.

It is Illusion Blue-Berg powdercoat. My painting is a nightmare, so I took it too a shop!
I left the chain long as I had a bigger rear cog on order...

Mixed riding mild hills with the possibility of quite a bit of stop and go. I have 42, 44 and 48 tooth chainrings and 16 and 20 tooth cogs for variation. Of course my 50+ year old legs will tell me what they want! Lol

Yeah, I would've had to bring waaay more gear than I wanted to coupled with the fact that you can't really rent a bike at an early enough hour to ride A1A when it's not crazy busy. I just scrapped the idea. If I visited more often I'd keep a beater bike down there.

My road bike is Prismatic Illusion Blue Berg.

I think yours came out a little darker. The first photo you posted has that slight glow which the color exhibits in low light. It's uncanny how much ambient light the metallic can reflect.
