You realise you are digging the hole deeper and deeper for yourself? Anyway, best let it rest, eh?

This is reality, get used to it.

Often times governments hire thugs to obtain such results.

In the 1770s, my Great Great Great Grandfather did not say "This is reality, get used to it." concerning the british empire and their king george. He stood up and did something about it, along with several of his friends.

Thus there is no need for us to just lie down and take it.

Where are your friends?

You're going to die fighting a lost cause.

Most of the population doesn't care.

Occupy Wall Street, that worked out great huh?

If the masses actually cared, all they would have to do is stay home for a week, not work, not buy anything, stay offline, and the whole house of cards would fall.

The Occupy Wall Street crowd were just a bunch of wannabe kids that missed out on the Vietnam protest, plus a bunch of homeless that got an easy area to sleep in.

Middle America does care and the MSM and you have miss judged them.

Give me a break. I was responding to Chris0516, and that is the only language that sinks in.

The masses are currently more dependent on government than ever before.

There are also more forms of electronic entertainment than ever before.

Most young adults couldn't function without a mobile phone or Internet.

Weapons of mass distraction in full effect.

FBinNY wasn't making any such demand.

He was only commenting on other people suggesting that drivers should stay home (more or less) to keep these things from happening.

FBinNY's post touched/referred/dismissed on the demands made by motorist in the story.

Maybe you did not read the story for full context before posting.

You and njkayaker are both right on this point.

1- I did not make any demand for more government or laws based on this event.

2- while I touched on the motorist demands, it was only to challenge the moral equivalence that I felt you implied, and to say that the reaction doesn't mitigate the thuggery of the cyclists (in this specific event).

One of my general rules is that a reaction to an action can never mitigate what came first. But there's a big difference between saying that something is less wrong and endorsing it.

If both sides are somewhat wrong headed fools, is this not about equality or even parity?
