The ONLY WAY a Sonders ebike goes fast and gets 55 miles per charge is via mods. Stock it's slow, and has very low range and speed.

That's what I thought... He has a nice looking Sondors. The riser bars, fenders and "Harley" style rear mini saddle bag are cool looking!

In Sondors defense, stock form out of the box it goes just like any $3k production ebike 20mph and about 30 mile range using PAS. What I did to mine was added a 52v 20.3Ah triangle battery that was made to fit the Sondors battery box and an upgrade 25a controller. This was the only mod I did internally and got 30mph top speed and about 75 mile range using PAS. A $1300 bike that can out perform $5k - 7K production ebikes out there. If you're interested in the battery, this was where I got it. They have good quality batteries that are the best price in the market!

Did you set the computer for the wheel measurement?
How did you verify your speed?
Were you going down a grade when you clocked it?
nobody seems to have done that, including Sondors.

thanks for the laugh, though.

I use an LCD setting the diameter of the wheel at 29 inch. This is going on a flat surface of course, who tha hell would record speed going down hill?? A LOT of people have this same 52v battery & and 25a controller setup on their Sondors so the laugh is on you!

With Lin Latte's setup revealed, I will rise to his defense to let you know his claims are real.

Of course a STOCK machine will not go above 20 mph and has a 20-30 mile range depending on how much assist is used.

Just so ya know, I was only being humorous. I luv the upgrades that you guys are doing to your Sonder's bikes. It means, with a little $$$ and some ingenuity, the bike can easily equal a much more expensive ride. I'm enjoying this,...and keep it up!!!

I have 3 different ebikes and by far the Sondors is my favorite. The sleek look and the fatty balloon tires make the ride such a blast! It rides through anything in its path sand, snow, mud, curbs and it feels like a tank. The stock motor is a 350w but the physical size of it is big and internally winded for speed, this allows you to over volt it up to 1200 watt. Simply add a bigger battery (52v 20Ah), a 25amp controller, then program the LCD to take off the speed limiter and the bike turns into a BEAST!

Lin, I stand corrected and appreciate your explanation of how you did this mod. More Power to ya!

It's all good, we're here to learn more about ebikes and I've certainly learned a lot from these forums. There were a lot of nay sayers prior to the first Indiegogo Sondors campaign and what's crazy is this bike turns out to be an incredible bike for the money. There are aftermarket parts and upgrades for this bike that you can replace anything on it. This makes this bike virtually indestructible! Ride on my friend.
