I was given a controller not sure about wires other than power and the 3 phase motor wires
not bothered too much about accessory wires just need the basics to get bike working

Hint, perhaps if you posted a right side up shot of the controller label, people might take an interest? You also should show the display.

If it didn't come with a display, it's almost hopeless. If it did have a display, you might have a chance.to at least power up the controller. Pitch it or put it aside til you get more experience with these things.

You could always look up the schematic for it if you have the make/model of the controller....

I Googled the make but nothing came up its from a manufactured e-bike I was not going to use it, but I did a very stupid thing connected the 2 controllers that those displays go with to the battery the wrong way round and could smell burning should have made the battery plug directional so this could not happen anyway the good news it will never happen again. I ordered a new controller and panel from Ali, the only saving grace they are cheap.
