Late 70s Richard Sachs?
It's an early Richard Sachs frame. I've been looking for one that would fit... Thoughts on value of his early bikes?

Not necessarily- ebay cannot be trusted with factual reporting. One must consider the era we are in.
I have bought with a best offer below asking and the completed auction search shows sold at asking.
Alternately, won an auction where the seller decided that he could not part with the bike at the wining price.
The auction shows sold at my bid- which it was not.
Reasonably frequently I have seen bikes that show sold, only to be relisted right away- under the time that ebay allows for things to "go their course"

Yes indeed. As with all things ‘bay...a grain of salt is good. This frame was first listed at $999 OBO. After I asked the seller a couple questions it went to $2,000.

That frame ended more than once, I believe with no bids at $999. Funny that he would raise the price to $2,000. watchcount.com used to give the final price of a best offer item. eBay ended their ability to do so a little while ago. I do believe there is a way to get final prices on best offer items, but I do not know it. I would like to find out again.
