So I got these pedals
Came across a set of Look Carbon pedals on CL. Old style delta cleats but that is no NBD since that is all I have on the road bikes. They're red. I suppose the carbon part is the cleat thingie since the bodies are aluminum but they're still hefty. So anyway, red and the Allez Elite is red and I figured WTF, right. Cleaned up, new grease and on the bike. Went out on them yesterday morning for the first time. Pretty disappointing. Definitely not the Dorothy Ruby Slippers of pedals. I'm still just as slow as ever.

I miss Delta cleats.
These were my first clipless pedals - about 1989.

Maybe they don't have the right shade of red on them to get that red color spectrum boost??.......

I picked up a pair for my red Serotta a few years ago. If my feet could do clipless long distance, these would be the bees knees. I only do sub 50 mile rides typically because my outside toes go numb. Doesn’t seem to matter which shoes I use either (I have as many shoes as pedals apparently).

I have these pedals as well as a few other LOOK pedals on a few bikes. Not the lightest but they do the job required.
I agree, not much Carbon on the Carbon Pedals.

I still have my Delta cleat Looks I bought in 1991 for a Trek 1400. They were my first clipless pedals. I have not used them in decades. But yeah, they are heavy. I got a Panasonic DX-3000 last month and the owner threw in some Look Keo Easy, and they are significantly lighter than the Delta ones. But still, some nice pedals.

They look just like the Carbo Pro model. Anyone know the difference?
Cool thing about Deltas is not so many people use them anymore, so you can find them for super cheap. And they look better on late 80s road bikes than any other pedal IMO.
