I had local interest since I found this safety buried in my garage.

A Titan frame ....perfect no a chip and never been built.

Any thoughts of value would be helpful.

Apparently a high-end frame from Switzerland, the paint, in my opinion, is beautiful, reminiscent of early Allegros.

This Swiss-made Titan is a gorgeously fabricated 1980's lugged steel road frame with an intricate paint job. It is New Old Stock, and has never been built up! Several years ago an Italian distributor uncovered a handful of these, and sold them on Ebay. Most of them were "Varnished by Dossena Carlo", though I have not seen another with a paint job like this. These frames were all Columbus SL or SLX. This one does not have rifling in the tubes, so it is an SL frame. The brake bridge is unique, being wing-shaped and hollow. De Rosa "heart" lugs, chrome stays, and Campagnolo dropouts round out the build. This is a high-quality racing bicycle frame. It would look amazing with a Super Record or black 1st generation Dura-Ace group, or even a black Suntour Cyclone / Superbe build!

NOS Swiss, Italian painted SL road frame? I’m sure you could do a few hundred. Unless I’m missing some sort of grail.

Great frame don't know why but there seems to be a a lot of these the market Nos with nice custom paint and no fork My guess is they were intended to have carbon fork. As for value no fork needing a fairly rare threaded carbon or top end vintage aluminium fork the value is likely much lower than you want. I would put it fame value at $75 or so.

With a fork that is good match for the frame and nice headset I would put the value at $200-250 on a local sale.

Interesting that no threads on the steerer.....What is stamped on the fork tube and dropouts?
Your frame should/might have been made out of Columbus SL, is there any rifling inside of the fork? if so that would perhaps indicate correct fork.etc.

Looks like a threadless fork, perhaps it says ‘Taiwan’ on the side?
Frame looks like it would take a 1 inch threaded fork...would also be unusual to have a frame without chrome accents that had a fully chromed fork.

That indeed looks like the fork at least one Ebay seller was advertising as being surplus Titan stock about 18 months ago.

There's also a strong chance this frame is built with something less than SL. They pop up on Ebay occasionally, and over half of the ones I remember seeing have been made from Aelle.

Chrome chain stays with the chrome fork is a lovely touch. While the paint might not match, the chrome will always pop!

I would agree but for the fact that the fork is threadless and the frame threaded.

Hmm....Dossena Carlo or Carlo Dossena? I’ve seen references to the name both ways.

Might be a clue there. He varnished (term for painting) some Guerciotti frames, almost all with distinctive starburst schemes.

Would be consistent to have a lugged fork on that frame, chrome or otherwise. Most of his frames are with a finished fork in a scheme like the frame.

With matching fork, worth a nice penny if the scheme appeals.

Nice,.......as already noted, must have been bought during the big Titan warehouse sale just a few years ago. I wanted to get one too, but by the time I noticed the sales, most of the frames they were selling, did not include a fork. Plus the paintjob style on the ones left were kinda weird looking to me, So.....mehh for me....
Too bad, cause I still have a cool Titan pantographed stem for a Titan build. Hopefully one in just a nice plain red and white (Swiss flag colors) and a matching fork will eventually pop up for me to buy, to do that long awaited Swiss Titan build.

A happy and excited buyer was found quickly and sold.
He stopped over to look it over and said that it looked incredible in person.
No haggle ....$250 done.

I would gladly accept the help ...i have four or five Found boxes marked bike parts. I did allot of couch building while surfing the net back in those days. ( pre marriage and kids ). The second and last frame is a Kona Paddy Wagon frameset, new and unbuilt. I will get to posting them , I had money in those days so I am looking forward to those boxes.

I think these items have been dormant for ten years , stored since moving into this house.
