Should relative saddle/bottom bracker position be the same on all my bikes?
Hi there, I could do with some advice on how to adjust the riding position on my new CC-bike. I tried to get the relative saddle/BB positions as close to my road bike as possible. However, the CC bike's seatpost is just straight, without any setback, and even with the saddle as far back as possible I am still 1.5 cm or so horizontally closer to the BB than I am on road bike.
This isn't actually a bad thing in terms of steering control etc, as I am closer to the handlebars, as you should be on a CC bike. However, is this recommendable in terms of ergonomics for my leg muscles and knees? Should I buy a seatpost with setback and get it as close as possible to the road bike?
Any advice will be much appreciated

It seems to me that comfort rules for a general purpose bike. If racing, then speed potential rules.

I never go saddle to BB anyway. Saddle to top of cleat. Some of my bikes have different crank lengths and different pedals. So I go by feel, starting with the heel on pedal ajustment, then refining by feel. Saddle setback should be what feels best for the purpose.
