The mobile interface will be what it will be, and I myself will have to choose whether or not to use it, and to 'deal with it' if it doesn't suit me.
I realize it takes a ton of work to do such a major site change and that there's going to be a lot of fine tuning over the upcoming weeks.
Thanks for all the hard work for making the overall site more user-friendly for the majority, and for listening to the input of the people who are recommending changes and/or errors with the new formatting.

I've noticed I get a Upper right "notification" for new post quote. Click on it and it takes me to "visitor message" rather than post quotes.
It just occurred to me as I write this, that It may be notifying me that I quoted someone else.

I understand and can appreciate that. However, formatting and text size on my iPhone was not an issue with the old version, and the mobile interface, to put it bluntly, sucks.
The mobile interface will be what it will be, and I myself will have to choose whether or not to use it, and to 'deal with it' if it doesn't suit me.

On phone, with my aging eyes, the text size for browsing isn't bad. Android S4 mini/zoom. Pretty small screen 4.25" diagonal.
Text in reply box is TINY.

I like that the new format shows the thread originator and most recent poster, just needs to be easier to look at.

Another thing that has happened to me twice now. I search for new messages, it finds maybe 150 and creates a list of 6 pages, 25 per page. I reply to a message on page 2, then go back to page 2 and click to advance to page 3, I get a "no messages found" error.

I think the most annoying day to day is that clicking on a subscribed thread on mobile takes you to the OP, not first unread. First unread takes a second click. It also doesn't show who last posted, it shows the person who started the thread in your control panel instead. Not nearly as useful.

Yea...on the Subscribed Threads page on mobile, there's just the thread title. Whereas on the NewPosts page on mobile there's a gray arrow for last post.
On my tablet (desktop Chrome Canary) I'm wishing I could shrink the top-banner down and get more useable content area back....eventually when scrolling it leaves, but it would be nice to not have it eating so much space to need scrolling. Especially with the persistent footer in thread view mode.

The desktop version is now completely unusable. You cannot reply to any thread. You can only start a new thread. Is there anybody monitoring the situation there??

When I click on a notification of post quote, it takes me to my control panel page. Can't find the quoted response. Thank you.

New Photo uploader is nice, I might even use it.
But seriously; there is no good reason not to show the thread origin date on each thread like the good old days. It seems a no brainer to put that in so folks know when they are scrolling past a zombie thread. Consider this two more votes for it:
___________Wow, that's pretty tone-deaf. Any heavy user can see the value in seeing the origin date of a thread without having to do extra clicks. It's not like including the origin date was adding extra lines to the screen; taking up extra real estate.
"Say, let's delete this quite useful feature which costs us nothing; our users will love it!" Who the hell thinks like that?

well I could understand an image size issue if it were 2007 and there were some quick easy way in the standard photo and camera apps to fix that, but this is 2018 and we’re streaming movies. Resize it on your end, that’s what FB and Craigslist do.

We've gone through the Microsoft way of UI then we went through the whole thing with web pages where you had to search for what you wanted (as in google) both designs are a complete and utter failure. I know Microsoft Office inside out, I also know Adobe and many other brands products inside out. Only really Microsoft has futzed us with this idiotic procedure of hiding things behind less buttons and calling it a visual interface.
The short and the long of it is that it doesn't lead to a better UI you only end up confusing the end user. It's this sort of crap which is the predominate reason why I don't use Windows. This is a real case of why less is not more and where I have to use a ribbon to make sense of anything going on. This is where the Mac rules in having a universal toolbar that is visually the same for every program that you open. To illustrate the difference.

Please look into these fixes
For the record... Using Chrome on PC
1. From the forum main view, if you click on the "Forums" drop down box and then click on "Bike Forums", you cannot scroll down the sub-menu that opens up. Everything after "Mountain Biking" is cut off at the bottom of my screen. Possibly this was tested on monitors with higher resolution than 1920x1080?
2. Please add a threads start date along with the thread name and forum member' name.

@IBThomas, I subscribe to more than a few threads, some of them many pages long and quite active. Before when I clicked on one it always opened on the next unread post right where I left off. Now it opens on the first page, requiring searching for where I left off, which can be unnerving when there could multiple posts and page additions since my last visit. I have not found any way as yet to change this on my end, other than reversing the post order, which is equally unnerving. Thanks
Edit: +1 on the thread start date thing

Mentions/quote notification should be #1 priority. It generates more use.

You mean that more people possibly view your profile?
I killed that stuff off in the last version and never lacked for people looking at that, same for quotes.
Let's get the posting and editing features up and running right first? Mentions etc. were the last things added into it anyway.
