Any suggestions??
What is your reason to ride in the first place? Possibly you need some goals or bench marks to motivate you some to get into a regular habit of riding. I love setting short term, mid term and long term goals and working to reach them. The rewards along the way and the secondary rewards make it fun.

Group club ride tonight; 30 mi. in 1:46, with head/crosswind 2/3rds of the route. I felt frisky and did a lot of attacking off the front, bridging, and coming from the back of the 18 rider pack to push the pace. Shaved 3 min. off Tuesday's ride. We'll see how that feels the next time I stand up.

Yes once again I did ride after work and a 27 miler. Weird thing was it looked like it was going to rain( afternoon showers) but I said I thought I could make it. About 12 miles into it I started to feel some light rain but the sun was still out and about. Well it stopped and I sort of went out and around from where I started and I noticed that where I was it had rained hard so all the way back I was rinding in very wet roads and puddles but I never really got rained on. I was soaked from the wet roads and water splashed up and humidity though.
When I got home and washed the bike and ate the sun came out and the roads dried up.
All is good

A very nice morning ride. Did a total of 37 miles. Part of the bike path was closed for bridge repairs and will be closed for quite sometime. Just did 6 loops of 6 miles to get the 37 miles for the day and I'm just shy 13 miles to make my first 150 mile week of the season. I can easily get that 13 plus more miles tomorrow.

Short but awesome ride this morning. I've been chasing a creak in my drive train for weeks and finally decided to hit it from all sides. New BB (Ultegra external bearing), clean & lube headset, clean & lube crankset, clean & lube chain and new SPD SL pedals (to replace my old Nashbar ARC compatibles). Got it all back together last night and took a nice ride this morning with my wife. The creak is gone! Great ride, great company, great breakfast overlooking the harbor and relief from that obnoxious noise.

EDIT: My wife headed over to her mom's so I headed back out for another 30 miles. Surf was high, the sun was hiding and I had a gusty headwind on the homeward leg but it was a great ride and still quiet!

My son was working near where I work today, so headed over to see him. He was there but not easy access. I didn't see him. This added a few miles to my commute. I ended up with 14 today. I have 341 for July. Tomorrow I plan to ride the route of the Tour of Missouri in Kansas City. A lot of hills.

Started somewhat late this morning but managed to do 31 miles. Late in the day bring lots of pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the bike path. First time this season, I did a 168 mile week. Hopefully I can manage to get another 150+ miles next week and I'll have a total of over 500 miles for July.

Friday was a rest day - today was a club ride. 4 miles short of a metric. I took the steel Simoncini and when I got to the start the ride leader handed out the route map - two nice climbs. Was wishing I brought the CF Tarmac instead, 5lbs less bike and a triple crankset. But with all the hill work I've been doing I was able to hold my own on the first hill and pass quite a few on the second. I guess the ride leader was feeling that if the TDF riders were climbing today - so should we.

Temps got in the mid 80's - humidity was high. Went through two bottles on Nuun and 2 of weak Gatoraid. Only the second day this season I have been able to wear a sleevless Jersey.

Great ride - good group. Didn't feel like a whipped pup at the end.

Tomorrow it's 30 miles of light spinning - that is if I can find a break in the weather.
This weeks mileage should hit 150 (not counting the commutes).

62 miles on the Roan Moan metric. We had 6100' of climbing including one 2700' in 7 mile climb. I developed a pain in my left knee on that climb but all is well now. Ride time was about 4:15. It was another beautiful day with low humidity and mild temps.

After doing 200k rides for three consecutive Saturdays, I settled for 69.3 miles today, riding the long route at Goatneck. It's a hilly route (for flatlanders like myself, at least), but a fun and well run ride with some great scenery.

We did this twice:

Then we rode 12 or so miles to a local sandwich/coffee shop, where cgallagh changed his flat and we ate a tasty Greek wrap, then rode home for a total of 35 miles in the most perfect weather I could have imagined.

We had training, fun, and food in one ride. Hard to beat that.

29mile recovery ride today. I decided to take my MTB turned commuter rather than one of my roadies so I would not be tempter to work on maintaining an average. It worked - had a nice ride, looked at more things along the ride and spun up the hills in the lower gears. It was very humid but I kept the heart rate low and just busted up lipids for 2 hours.

Did a 47 on Saturday 7/25. The planned route went away fast when a bridge was out due to construction. We were lost a couple of times trying to get back to our cars, but made it. Average speed was a less than spectacular 18.2 MPH.
Still trying to lose weight and seem stuck at 200lbs.
