Grandchildren rock!

Some of you are aware of the difficulties I have had with posting pictures. Hopefully, if I can remember the whole process, I now have it solved. My grand daughter walked me through the process. The biggest problem is that my camera takes photos that use too many pixels for my computer to transfer. I was all set to buy a new, crappier camera but she showed me how to crapify the camera that I already have.

It's neat when the grandchildren reach the age where they can be genuinely helpful. Grandchildren rock!

Grandchildren are your reward for the grief your kids put you through. Ours are at the age that we have lots of fun with them.

If I had known how much fun my grandchildren were going to be - I'd have had them first.

My own kids were really very young when they were teaching me tech type skills. Ducks to water.

I put my iPhone in my pocket the other day and when I pulled it out, the phone icon was gone. I played around for half hour trying to restore it with no luck. I then saw a 20 something pilot texting on his iPhone so I explained the problem. 5 button pushes and a tap and drag and all was fine. Fixed in about 4 seconds. Good thing flying experince doesn't come with youth or I would be out a job in a hurry.

Grand kids are fine till they start bringing things home from school and nursery (Kindergarten?) Both my two have gippy tummies- sore throats a snotty nose and a rotten whinie temperament right now--The sore throat started with me this afternoon.

I'll start whining shortly---Or even Wining as I have a good bottle of Bordeaux to finish off.

4 grandchildren under the age of 5 in one room is the social equivalent of 400 angry Bolsheviks.

A good friend of mine married a much younger second wife. His explanation for his two new children is that he is having his own grandchildren. His youngest is about to turn three and he is sixty.

My first grand child was born in October and he's perfect . My 90 yo dad lives in Florida and came up for Thanksgiving. So wonderful seeing Isaac sleeping in his arms.

I'm already compairing child trailers which has my son and daughter-in-law concerned.

And when they outgrow the trailer, get one of these.

I cannot get my twelve year old Granddaughter excited about bikes . Fortunately at least, she takes dance lessons, and is really into it. and has joined her middle school track team.

You can accompany her on one of her runs while riding your bike.

I'm watching a football game at my #1 son's house sitting next to his 5 y/o. The grandson likes the Vikings and I allowed as how the Niners would crush the Vikings if they met again. Lucas, the gs, grabs his dad's iPhone, dials up the NFL site and shows me the score in the last meeting. This latest generation will never use a calculator, will never see a slide rule, but they are born with a smart phone in their tiny little hands. Fortunately, he's not a couch potato. He's already got a 6 or 7 speed drop bar bike and can comfortably ride 10 miles on a MUP; biggest challenge will be keeping him off the road for a few years. His dad's a racer and older brother (10) bikes, swims and dabbles in a few other sports.

My son has 11 yo twins, The boy is a sprinter, doesn't want to go too far but wants to show how fast he is, the girl wants to go places with me she's up for 20 to 30 miles at a ride now and this summer we may go further. They live 4 hrs away and I have to teach the twins to maintain their bikes because my son and daughter-in-law are clueless

Two grandchildren-Ferne who is coming up for 4 and Oakley who is just over two. Oakley is into everything and has a "Scoot" Along Bike with very wide tyres. Ferne likes her bike but doesn't get on with it very well. They are both getting balance bikes this year. Basically a bike without pedals and they get them balancing before the awkward part of balancing while pedalling comes along.

Never knew a "Nearly" bike that will not fall apart easily (Wallymart type) would be so expensive.

For any that don't know the bikes-----

Stapfam, nice video. I could just hear my mother saying, "Don't drag your feet. You'll wear out your shoes!"
