That's ok, Anthony...
No one who wants the government to take money from others to pay their medical bills understands the opposition to coerced participation under threat of penalty.

If we can just make the pyramid big enough
by forcing everyone to participate...

See, I just DON'T understand how this argument gets ANY traction. Do you really think that most employer's pay your medical insurance for any other reason that they are required/coerced to? Do you really think that they wouldn't be fined if they FAILED to pay for an employee's medical insurance?

The current system works on coercion. Same as being coerced to drive on the right side of the road.

Here's another picture of some kittens,

An argument implies the possibility of convincing, so it can't be that. Rather it's simply an accurate description of two totally different views and how they contrast. As long as you want others to be coerced to pay your medical bills your view makes sense. The other view only makes sense if you don't want money extorted from you to pay the medical bills of others.

Unless you don't have insurance and pay for everything with cash, others are forced to pay your medical bills for you. Is it really that difficult to understand?

Well... you just explained exactly why my point of view differs from yours...

Instead of buying into a Ponzi scam where each person wants to get more back than they put in, and is financially punished with expensive premiums for staying well, and is betting against themselves where the only way to "win" is to lose...

...we financially reward ourselves for becoming personally responsible for taking good care of our own health by self insuring with our own medical account, and simply paying for healthcare services as we need them. You can negotiate good discounts as a direct cash paying customer operating outside of the bloated parasite infested insurance bureaucracy.

Oh, you HAD to say this dint you. I mean how did you know I spent all afternoon yesterday slaving over a hot stove making braised beef short ribs. Do you understand the amt of WORK that goes into braising beef short ribs? And, now you go and say "short rib tacos" which suddenly makes my mouth water and my taste buds start to CRAVE them? And, of course there are NO short ribs from yesterday left so if I want the tacos I'll have to remake some short ribs and then make them into tacos. With all the time, expense, energy, and heat exhaustion that doing so will require.

Or I can just open a can of chef boy-ar-dee and call it a day.

So you won't seek treatment when you get prostrate cancer? That's brave of you.

That was pretty harsh bro.

If most people felt and did like he did, we wouldn't need the gubbermint to mandate a change in health care. Not everyone, actually surprisingly few folks will suffer a catastrophic illness like cancer...thank God. Insurance companies would not have survived this long if they did. It's nothing to sidelong wish on anyone in any case, regardless of your political affiliations or sentiments.

And there's a snake dangling from the chandelier, but the dude in the wheelchair who owns the island mansion just pulled out a .38 and shot it, and the butler wrapped it up in his napkin and threw it out.

Well, the frogs really aren't giant, but there's a whole bunch of them suckers.
