It all boils down the inverse law of assembled bike value.

I picked up an early 90's Softride Powercurve for a hundred bucks, brought it home, and thought the cranks looked interesting, but I've never seen ones like them. Turns out they're Magic Motorcycle cranks made by Alex Pong on Whidbey Island before he sold the design to Cannondale. I think they add just somewhat to the value of this bike.

in my experience: about 1/4 to 1/2 of what they cost when bought without the bike
