Bianchi info needed

What's a 1989 Bianchi Giro with Campy Athena in very good shape worth? Evidently...I can't attach pics until I have 10 posts.

WOW this is beautiful did anyone ever ride it? People ask crazy money for these especially one in this nice of condition. I think I might pay $600 is for this if I really wanted it. Despite how well preserved it looks this undoubtedly needs to have the bearings overhauled, so that means maybe $100ish for that and tune up. How are the tires? MSRP on these was $1180

Pic assist but a few more in the OP's gallery

Thanks Bianchigirll. As far as I know...it was ridden quite a bit for five or six years...then the guy needed money and I paid $100 for it in probably mid-90's. Hung in my garage(s) since then. Cleaned it up and lubed everything. Back wheel was off as I needed to replace the tube due to a leaking stem. Prior to that...I'm not sure. Seems to have been maintained well prior to my ownership. I think it's in pretty fine condition.

I own it currently. Waaaay too small for me. I think it's a 53 cm. frame.

My size too, figures you're on the far coast.

Local pickup prices will be lower because you will have a lot of lowball offers, you'll reach more enthusiasts on your favorite auction site, but I wouldn't use that unless you're in a hurry to sell it.
I agree with @Bianchigirll here, $600 doesn't seem like a stretch for such a clean bike.

Condition is very good and it's a nice frame but Athena is a mediocre group and the size is small. I'm only seeing about $400.

Thanks much for the great input. I've had it many years unused. So....no hurry to sell. I'm hearing about the same elsewhere. I sold a no longer used tandem to a bike mechanic living in Portland and he said $500 to $600 as well.

Thanks T-Mar. New to this posting thing. I uploaded the drive side as well....but they weren't included for some reason.

Bianchi Girl is right, besides the fact that bikes that are "ridden quite a bit for five or six years" rarely look like that, even cared for by a professional mechanic, the chainrings show relatively light wear, unless the originals were replaced.

Be happy, that's all to the good.
