Show us your Peugeot PX10 !

The PX10 is a bike truly deserving of its iconic status. For many years it was the top-of-the-line offering from a great French company - a fast, nimble, Tour de France winning and exceedingly beautiful bike that can still set our hearts a pitter-pattering to this very day.

I know that some of you have acquired one, and the rest are still looking (-especially all those who purport to abjure all that is French, but secretly lust after them!)

If you are one of the fortunate’s who already "got yours", please do us all a favor and post a pic here, along with the presumed date of manufacture.

- And for those of you who have not yet happened upon your very own PX10, take heart. One day your PX10 will arrive, for there were enough of them shipped to this side of the pond.

I could post my '72 UO8 twice. Would that do? The cost would've been about right.

Sorry Jim, As much as I love U08's, I see 'em every day on CL, masquerading as PX10s.
Gotta see some more luscious bona fide PX10's, like Blue Devil's there!

My 1973 "hot-rodded" by the LBS before they sold it to my brother in the spring of 1976.

That's a real head-turner GB. I know there were several colors offered originally: Was black one of them, or is this a more radical restoration?

Sven - How did you let the LBS sell YOUR bike to your bro? (Isn't that your job?)
- Or did your bro' pass it on to you?

He let me use it for some centuries back in the 90s... a couple of years ago I saw it forlornly hanging in his garage unridden since I returned it. He said I should take it for good as long as I didn't sell it. I passed back a nice PGN-10 and he is riding again!

This was quite the POC when I purchased it, so I fixed it up as shown here, but I still couldn't sell it on CL. (Now I don't want to.)

c. 1975 (I think):

That's the classic UO8 if I ever saw one.

(If you post that picture twice auchencrow still won't be happy. )
