Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Recovery ride, 1 hr 5 min, 5:20am or thereabouts. It was a beautiful morning. I think something like 15 miles.

Ive been using all my recovery rides lately to work on cadence but I didn't even do that today. I didn't work on anything, which is rare for me. I just rode my bike howeve I felt like it.

Oh wait. I actually did ride in the drops the whole time. I worked on that.

Been there a few times. The difference is shocking, especially if I drive home the southerly way through Kansas instead of Nebraska.

At the moment, the corn is growing so fast that the height difference is discernible almost overnight. We're headed for PA tomorrow for the Eastern Tandem Rally and the corn will probably grow a foot before we get back next week.

It has been hours since anyone has mentioned Sora being ****. Without some negative reinforcement, it may recover some self-esteem.

Why not? They slide so that you can just tension on an SS while still using a QR.

It didn't look like they were having trouble. The route was north/south and the wind was just about straight out of the south. There was very little crosswind.

It's been lagging behind 'round these here parts, but should still be knee high by Independence Day.

$350-600 and unsure about the bike. Does cost really matter when we're talking about really good bloody mary's?

Aha! I didn't mean I didn't approve. I meant I didn't understand. Like Lucy, you had some 'splainin' to do, and you did it. Thanks.

So the rear end is all purpose? It works with or without an RD?

I built a Ruby yesterday that had Sora components. It didn't have any self-esteem issues, but it hasn't been out in the cruel world yet.
