Cool thread , I just stumbled on it . This is my 86' Centurion Ironman , pretty much stock . Brake calipers are the biggest change (Tektro duel pivot) .

1972 Favorit Lovonit
I recently picked up a 72 Favorit also badged as Lovonit. A friend researched and believes the frame is french made. All components and the frame are stamped made in Czechoslovakia, either Favorit Special or Favorit Lovonit. Serial Number is 010893. Appears to have a circle with a P in it between the year and the serial number. Any info would be appreciated. Will post picture when I can.

The Phil Wood Frame is nearing completion (I need a small friction bushing for the front shifter and then a touch of tuning for that). It is sitting on a vintage Park Tool PRS-1 stand.
Ignore the bit of mess and the hair tie used on the front brake. Also I know the chain is on the small chainring and larger cog the shifter is not able to stay in position.

All I know is it is a really neat frame and certainly a race frame because that rear triangle is stiff trying to get the wheel in was not easy and it was a 126mm wheel not something exceptionally wide or anything. I can't wait to put some real miles on this thing.
If anyone does know anything please please please please please share it because I am super interested.

It appears that is a 63cm, which means I now need to find one. They even made their Carbon Team up to 63cm as well! Very oddly, in looking through the 1993 catalog, Carbon and Titanium Team bikes were both Shimano 105 (STI shifting and dual pivot braking, so later 1055 SC), but the steel Team Miyata was 6400-era 600. No Dura-Ace present throughout the entire lineup. I thought surely DA would have been on the Ti and CF bikes. You have upgraded yours very nicely--in keeping with the performance intentions of the frame.

Wow! So many great vintage bikes!
Here are three of my own favorites:
1989 Marinoni Special (my favorite) recently picked up the Delta brakes, love them! Always loved the way they look, with modern Kool Stop bads they work as good as they look

1992 stumpjumper comp....
i'm really, really stoked on this bike...i've been on the lookout for a decent vintage mountain bike for sometime. the bridgestone i had this summer came close, but it was a touch too small. i came across this bike earlier this year, and offered to buy it from the gentleman on the spot....told me he'd think about it. he bought it brand new in california in 1992, when he was in his 50's. well, saw him again last week and said he was ready to sell it....he named a price and now it's mine.
the bike is as close to pristine as you could ever want. has a full shimano xt groupset (right down to the brakepads), and all other original components (except for the ti flite, i believe). the only thing i plan on doing is getting a wider bar- this thing is NARROW! the color is billed as "raspeberry" and it's amazing in person. since this is my "sunday driver" i opted for the 1.95 kwests, instead of knobbies, since i'll probably spend 90% of the time on pavement.
...sorry for all the pics-i love photographing bikes almost as much as riding them....

Amazing vintage MTB, I believe you've got an XT seatpost there as well, very nice photo's as well!
