Got this 84' Comp TA from RobbieTunes as a frame / fork / headset . This build I wanted to come close to stock as I could . Robbie got the frame from a small independent bike shop , I think it was in Indiana . Anyhow after a few phone calls to the shop owner to try and get the parts I gave up , he was a very nice guy and all but I got the impression he didn't want to mess with shipping and listing the stuff to me and pricing it all . So the hunt began for parts , the Comp TA used Shimano 600 6207 for all the shifter / brake / headset bits the wheels were Suzue hubs with Araya rims all black ano with black nipples . Very good looking IMO . I think I'm going to give the Indy guy a call to see if he still has that wheelset , he told me it was tubular . I really got educated on the DT shifters , 6208 SIS does not work .

By now, most people think I change all my bikes to modern stuff.
Well, lately I've not been doing that, with some (gasp!) friction bikes in the herd, some Campy Syncro (double gasp!), etc.
Nice paint, lined lugs. I do need to put the rear axle adjusters back in, I suppose.
1985 Bob Jackson Limited Edition. 53cm ST, 54cm TT. Campagnolo dropouts/fork ends, Haden lugs.
Cinelli steering, Shimano 600AX post holding a Prologo perch. DA7400 brake levers, Rustines hoods.
DA 7400 RD, modified with a longer cage. Specialized compact triple crankset, square taper, uses the DA7400 BB just fine. Suntour Mountech FD.
DA7400 2/3 x 6 shifters. Veloflex Masters on Mavic Open S.U.P. CD rims.
7400 calipers with OEM pads. Reynolds 531 Professional tubing.
Suntour Mountech FD, 7400 pedals with L cages. Note the barrel adjuster is Campy. I'm looking for a DA version.
DA 7400 hubs, rear is a 6sp DA freewheel 12-24. I did not remove the freewheel to clean those inner spokes. I'll have to do that.
Fizik wrap. Unk bottle cage, with a lower bolt that is reamed. I'll work on that with an EZ-Out reverse thread screw.
Haden made the lugs, I believe.

I currently have access to a CNC machine and 4 3D printers. One of them uses carbon fiber. I will try to get some stuff like this and some jockey wheels made. I need to design a cool name/logo to put on them. These are high schoolers working in CAD classes. I will start with basic projects to see how they do.

Picked up this Treviso on rough shape, pretty happy with how it turned out! Put some miles on it and it rides surprisingly like my much pricier, much newer race bike.

Interesting - never seen a Treviso with internal cable routing. Is there a chainstay bridge? I was thinking it might be an early Montello, but then the clamp on FD tells me no.
Wouldn't mind seeing some images of the fork crown, seat cluster, bottom bracket, etc.

@RobbieTunes - enlighten me on the feel of a P frameset. I love my ‘88 531SL, but at 190# the thinner tubes would be a failure weighting to happen on a hard ride.

What a great thread. I just spent an hour looking through some of these pictures. I am new to to cycling and I am still searching for my first road bike, however as a child I remember an uncle had some road bikes, and I was amazed by them. As a child I found the drop bars some amazing for some reason. These pictures remind me so much of those bicycles my uncle had.
