Here is a photo of Reg Harris using a saddle support. The old Brooks seat clamps were notorious for slipping. These supports use a turnbuckle to adjust for height and were readily available in bike shops in the 1960s..

I've seen something similar for Look -96 frames. But it doesn't attache to the TT, rather it fits between the rails and the clamp.

I torque my saddle clamp beyond spec (14nm instead of 12nm) and haven't had any issues with saddle rotating since. Might be good to keep a spare bolt around if you do this as well in case it breaks. I'd be cautious trying that with carbon rails though. Also in my experience cleaning the entire assembly with alcohol yielded better results than using fiber grip.

Two Track Elites here. Both with rotating saddles - I'm heavy 90kg, and yes, I move to the front of saddle when sprinting hard.
Regular non-carbon rails saddle - 20Nm torque on the screw, cleaning, etc. nothing worked. It's just a stupid system to track use (have the same solution on my Scott Addict, without issues).
I simply don't understand why they don't use the 2bolts fine-adjustment bridge as some cheap china generic frames have. Or at least a system with some "steps" in order to block rotating.

Because, the people that design the frames:
- Don't actually use them on a regular basis.
- Don't listen to customer feedback.
- Hop on new trends and ignore what worked before.
- Forget the maxim: "If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it."

What is the largest chainrig that will fit the Elite? Currently I have a DA crankset on.

The chainstay on the Elite has a slight vertical indentation wich I assume is for chairing clearance. But this indent is not much past a 50T ring. If anyone with experience mounting large chainrings on the Elite can provide some input I would appreciate it

I appreciate you expanding on your first comment. I'm an old school 80s all around rider. Even rode DA 10 mm pitch, so this whole larger ring / drivetrain efficiency thing I am just learning.

Brawlo, one other thing I noticed on the pics of Matt's Fuji is that he is using the seatpost from the TT bike.
This looks like a better option if your running your saddle in a more forward position. Something I have been planning on sourcing.

That's a great question. I was hoping one of the better shops that carry Fuji in my area, NYC, could order it.
Does anyone have some first hand experience with sourcing the Norcom TT seatpost?
Also, from pics I have seen, there are two different TT post. One has the two bolt mount on the back for a bottle mount etc and the other does not .

your local Fuji dealer can order posts for the Track Elite or Norcom. Don't waste your time trying to get in touch with Fuji/Oval directly... they ignored all my emails.

The Norcom post with the two bolts are for Di2 equipped bikes. (battery mount)

If you really want to be bling and a Dash saddle works for you, you can buy the custom integrated Dash post/saddle combo directly from Dash.

Failing a dealer your best bet is probably Facebook.

*be careful with opting for the Norcom post... many of them are pretty far forward. I can get far in front of my bb on the stock Elite post (with an Ares saddle) it might be tough to stay at 0 or -5 with a forward post.

Are there any significant differences in the Fuji Track Elite frames produced in the last several years? I mean for instance, is the 20XX edition materially better or worse than the the other years? Is there a year to stay away from or a year to try and purchase? I have no idea what I am doing track wise, so much information!

The bike was redesigned in 2013, easy way to spot the difference is the older versions have an integrated seatpost with a topper.
Otherwise, basically the same from 13 up, just color changes.

Cool! I did see a bunch of older frames on eBay, that were warranty ISP frames being blown out - around $900, but without a fork, headset or seat post topper. I meant to reply sooner to warn you of them, since you'd probably get better value for money with a new frame.

Alan, I recently purchased the exact same frame (54) and the last of the components have just arrived. Can't wait to build it up and get on the track.
